Cardiff Metropolitan University

I am regularly asked to produce scaled down or indeed scaled up versions of an existing sculpture. To achieve this accurately I have to embrace cutting edge technology. I am now collaborating with ‘FabLab’ at Cardiff Metropolitan University. They are leaders in 3D scanning and 3D printing which is what is needed to produce larger or smaller sculptures. My artistic input is retained, from the traditional feel of a clay modelled bronze to my finger marks and even finger prints showing through into the finished bronze.

I will be working frequently with the University on my own projects and assisting other leading sculptors with theirs. My ‘Anatomical study of a lion’ for example will soon become available in 1/2 size and 1/4 size.

I don’t feel that this in any way compromises the uniqueness of my work, in fact it enables me to provide for a wider audience. At the request of a client I can make any of my sculptures to a size that suits them.
